Alteration of transthyretin and thyroxine-binding globulin in major depressive disorder: multiple reaction monitoring-based proteomic analysis

Abstract Background Major depressive disorder (MDD), common mental disorder, lacks objective diagnostic and prognosis biomarkers. The of this study was to perform proteomic analysis identify proteins with changed expression levels after antidepressant treatment investigate differences in protein between MDD patients healthy individuals. Methods A total 111 obtained from literature review were subjected multiple reaction monitoring (MRM)-based quantitation. Finally, seven quantified for plasma specimens 10 controls 78 (those at baseline 6 weeks either selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or mirtazapine).
